DESCRIPTION: Engineering firm requires, ASI, (Actuator sensor interface, bus networking protocol standard for discrete sensors in the process industry) compatible 1-1/2” pneumatic on/off valve for water service.

SOLUTION: Winn-Marion Barber identified a low voltage ASCO solenoid valve to operate a Metso-Jamesbury pneumatically actuated 1 ½” ball valve. The low voltage was necessary to be within the ASI specification for power requirements combined with the maximum # of drops. Our solution included an assembled valve, actuator, solenoid, junction box, and terminal strip. The junction box and terminal strip allow the customer easy connectivity in a plug and play manner.
